Whether checked prints remind you of the delicious Ali MacGraw circa 1970s or your grand pa circa 2013, you have to admit that thanks to the likes of Stella McCartney and Celine, they are here, there and everywhere. In fact, dare i say it, the checked print is for 2013 what the leopard print was for 2012.
I myself have had a lengthy love affair with the checked print long before the fashion mobs began their flirtation with the trend. Call it the whisky drinking and tweed wearing old soul in me but I have been known to sport a checked scarf casually round my neck for the majority of my school and university years.
The modern day checked print is mostly found in the shape of a warm winter coat and there is a lot on offer on the high street. Here are some of my favourites that you should most definitely check (see what I did there) out.
