Dear Diary

Every young girl has attempted, at least at one point in their lives, to put pen to paper (or finger to keyboard for the "nuvo" generation) in order to begin a story of their lives. The very thought of conjuring up one's thoughts from the deepest darkest corners of one's subconscious was both a exhilarating and courageous process. It was as if, putting one's greatest desires and most closeted feelings on paper, would make those emotions all the more real.

Speaking from my own personal experience, the reality of this process was very much easier said than done. With my biggest worry at the age of 12 being who I would sit next to at lunch or how I would get out of piano practice, my diary become more akin to a chronology of superficial and meaningless events.

Since then not much has changed. Being someone who barely has time to sit down for a cup of tea, the concept of taking time to self-analyse was sounding more tiresome than salubrious.

Philipp Keel, author of the best selling All About Me series has come up with a way of making the impossible possible. In essence, it is a way of looking inside even when you are overloaded outside.

Simple Diary seeks to unite the fast paced modern lifestyle with the significant tradition of the written word. Five minutes is all you need.

I know that I for one cannot wait to record my first diary entry in the time it takes me to brush my teeth in the morning!
