I've been Birchbox-ed

I think most people would agree that the greatest gifts that you  receive are the gifts that you give yourself.

I had been ooh-ing and aah-ing over the Birchbox concept for quite a while, yet due to my track record of pointless monthly subscriptions, I never actually plucked up the courage to take the plunge. From the piles of unopened graze boxes on the kitchen cabinet to the gym membership I was paying for months after I'd found a replacement, I vowed to myself never to put my bank balance through the same torture again...until now. 

For those of you who haven't had Birchbox's website as your favourites page for the last three months, this business savvy idea delivers a curated package of personalised beauty and grooming products straight to your door every month. And for a mere ten pounds/ten dollars a month it would be criminal not to sign up.  

My first simple but elegantly boxed package contained the following delights:- 

1. A full sized Reverence de Bastien Nail Polish (RRP £16)

2. Two sample sized Beauty Protector protect & treat hair mask(RRP £16)

3. A sample sized Lord & Berry mini bronzer in Sienna (RRP £19)

4. A full sized Pixi by Petra shea butter lip balm (RRP £8)

5. A full sized Dr. Jart+ pore refine recover primer (RRP £18)

6. A sample sized package of Drinkwel veggie-friendly hangover prevention capsules 

Now I'm no mathematician but I'm pretty sure I'm up by £32.
