I Heart Hemsley+Hemsley

The action shot of dreams

My not so glamorous action shot (excuse the elephant in the room - the cat gym atrocity has since been taken down)

Move over Nigella, for there are two new food goddesses in town, and something tells me that they are here to stay.

Whilst the soya latte drinking hipsters and whole foods aficionados were busy sweating in their skinny jeans at the sight of Hemsley+Hemsley's latest food bible of nutritional and wholesome recipes, The Art of Eating Welllast Saturday I decided to put several of my favourites to the test with three of my finest friends as critics.

ps. For those of you who have been living under a rock for the past six months, Hemsley+Hemsley is the creation of two food loving sisters whose blog and bespoke food delivery services are designed to motivate people to take more time cooking and eating in order to live more naturally energised lives. The pair's recipes are focused on wholesome, organic homemade foods which are free from all the sins - grain, gluten, high starch and refined sugar.

Whilst Jasmine and Melissa may look like supermodels with genetics of perfection, their advice on changing one's lifestyle and approach to food provides us humans down on earth with a longer lasting and more enjoyable alternative to dieting.

...

Menu du jour

1. Papaya, grilled halloumi, avocado and watercress salad sprinkled with pine nuts and a simple dressing of extra virgin olive, raw honey and apple cider vinegar.

2. The masterpiece - anytime eggs with peppers, kale, tomatoes and spices with four subside up fried eggs and a sprinkling of goats cheese.

3. Baked courgette fries with breadcrumbs made from an egg, parmesan cheese and ground almonds. These are tastier and healthier than Byron Burger's courgette fries, if I say so myself.

Et Voila...

Based on the empty plates and the empty cooking utensils - let's just say that I had three very satisfied customers!
