Weekend(day) Edit: Mud and Mud Masks

This weekend was a complete letdown. Whilst it began on a champagne fuelled high, with a celebratory dinner with friends, on Saturday morning I woke up with a throbbing head cold. Despite pumping our medicinal cupboard's supply of turmeric, honey and day nurse through my system, I ended up cancelling my plans and spent the whole weekend curled up in bed. I confess therefore, that this week's Weekend Edit is more of a sample of the highlights of my week - pre the cold from hell.

I ate: I finally got round to sampling the food at the currently trending Greenberry Cafe on Regents Park road. Our lunch was delicious and really good value - especially with the 2 courses for £11.00 deal. However, best thing about this place (apart from the poached eggs on waffles) is that it allows well behaved dogs, and even provides bowls of water and drinks for your furry friends. Word of advice - this place was absolutely heaving on a Monday afternoon so if you fancy giving it a try I would recommend booking a table in advance.

I went: On Monday my sister and I treated our daddy to a gentleman's facial at Cowshed Primrose Hill. My daddy comes from the generation that started from near nothing and accomplished everything. Despite this, he remains unable to justify treating himself on anything outside the realm of the practical, which is where my sister and I come in. After an hour of pampering he stepped out of the spa with a spring to his step, looking ten years younger and even suggested that we book another one for his birthday.

I wore: Our new puppy is currently the centre of our world. Not only does he have the sweetest face in history - meaning that we get stopped by passersby at every turn, but he saves me from doing any washing as I am currently living in an ensemble of scruffy jogging bottoms, trainers and a parka.
